PilotRep is a third-party tool built for players of EVE Online. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use and protect your information, particularly data retrieved via Fenris Creations' EVE Single Sign-On (SSO) and the EVE Swagger Interface (ESI) API.
To provide our services, we use EVE Online's Single Sign-On (SSO) to verify your identity and pull limited public character data via the ESI API. This includes:
Public Character Data
Character Name, Character ID, Corporation and Alliance affiliations, Security Status, Character Creation Date and Portrait.
Authentication Tokens
We securely store the refresh token provided by EVE SSO to maintain your session. We never see, collect or store your EVE Online account username or password.
Reputation Data
Reps and votes you submit are stored and associated with your verified character identity.
API Permission (Scope) Requested
PilotRep requests a single EVE Online API permission, esi-search.search_structures.v1, which is the scope EVE Online requires for character, corporation and alliance search — regardless of its name, PilotRep does not request or access structure (citadel) data.
The data retrieved from New Eden is used strictly to power PilotRep's core features, including:
- Displaying character, corporation and alliance identity and reputation on their public profile pages.
- Authenticating your identity and managing your login session.
- Attributing reps and votes you submit to your verified character (or displaying them anonymously, if you choose).
We understand the competitive nature of EVE Online. We implement measures to protect your data:
Access Control
Reputation submissions are tied to your verified character identity only when you choose not to submit anonymously.
No Third-Party Sharing
We do not sell, rent or lease your character data to anyone.
We use Google Analytics (GA4), provided by Google LLC, to help us understand how visitors use PilotRep and improve the site. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to collect information such as your IP address, browser and device type, and the pages you visit. This data is aggregated for traffic analysis only and does not include your EVE Online character data, ESI information, or anything you submit through PilotRep.
If you are visiting from the European Union or United Kingdom, you will be shown a cookie consent banner on your first visit, letting you accept or reject analytics cookies. You can change your choice at any time using the "Cookie Settings" link in the footer of any page. If you are visiting from outside the EU or UK, you can still opt out of Google Analytics tracking at any time using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
